]]> Tue, 26 Jul 2022 12:37:03 GMT https://www.prescotschool.org.uk/news/?pid=3&nid=1&storyid=9 <![CDATA[ Year 9 Bronze DofE Award ]]> https://www.prescotschool.org.uk/news/?pid=3&nid=1&storyid=8 A group of adventurous Year 9 students have been working towards their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award by setting off on an expedition near Cerrigydrudion, Conwy in Wales.

Part of the challenge was to work as a team to set up a habitable campsite at Tan Y Graig house, using their skills of working together to pitch up a tent and set up camp.

The group were also required to pick up their maps and compasses and explore the beautiful Welsh countryside, navigating themselves around Llyn Brenig Reservoir.

A fantastic display of teamwork and orienteering was shown, all of the students worked incredibly well together and thankfully the weather was on our side!
