Art, Design and Technology Technician

  • Salary: £27,649 to £29,724
  • Working time: Term time plus 2 weeks. 37 hours per week
  • Start date: 1st September 2025

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic technician to support the staff and pupils within the Art, Design and Technology faculty. 

The Prescot School is situated in a state of the art, 21st century building, situated on the outskirts of Prescot, approximately ten miles from Liverpool City Centre. We are an 11-16 school which opened in September 2016 as a converter Academy linked to the outstanding ‘The Heath Family Trust’.

The technician will provide high quality technical support to staff and students within the Art, Design and Technology areas; responsibilities would include:

  • Running and maintaining the tools and machinery to meet health and safety requirements
  • Ordering equipment and materials for Art, Design and Technology
  • General administrative tasks

The Technician must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, show initiative and enthusiasm for Art, Design and Technology and enjoy working with students. Relevant experience is essential, as well as knowledge in the use of IT and/or willingness to learn about CAD/CAM.
