Return to Learn

The Prescot School has a dedicated base called Return To Learn. This base is led by a specialist teacher and mentor with subject specialist staff from within the school timetable to provide access to the school’s full curriculum offer.

The provision is overseen by our Vice Principal (who is one of our school’s SENDCo and is our Designated Safeguarding Lead), meaning Inclusion is at the heart of this provision.

Access to Return to Learn is supported via the school’s weekly Team Around the Year Group meetings and supports our children who may be struggling with attendance to school, attendance to lessons, timelines of external SEND provision and/or responses to the school’s culture expectations.

Our unique provision provides an opportunity to access our school’s curriculum in a smaller setting with focused communication and interaction or social and emotional interventions to narrow gaps and allow full access to the school’s culture and learning.
