Values

At our school, we are committed to fostering an environment where everyone can flourish. Our core values guide our daily interactions and ambitions.

Vision

At The Prescot School, our ambitious Personal Development programme is integral to students thriving and developing in school and beyond. Through our programme, students gain the skills and knowledge to excel personally, contribute positively to the school community, engage actively in local or national initiatives, and understand their role in the global context. We prepare students for the future, providing direction, a moral compass, and the knowledge to be valuable members of society.

Guided by our mission to nurture well-rounded, socially responsible individuals equipped to thrive in a rapidly changing world, and our motto ‘Futuram civitatem inquirimus’ (Seeking society’s future), this work embodies our KIT values and the British Values.

At The Prescot School, we teach PSHE, RSE, British Values, and character development because they are essential for preparing students to thrive in life beyond the classroom. These areas help young people develop resilience, empathy, respect, and the ability to make informed decisions in a rapidly changing world. They underpin our commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals who are academically prepared and socially responsible. We deliver this through a rich blend of standalone lessons, drop-down days, assemblies, form time, trips, and enrichment activities, ensuring students experience these principles in meaningful, real-life contexts. By embedding these values and skills, we strengthen our school community, promote kindness, integrity, and tenacity, and empower students to contribute positively to society—locally, nationally, and globally. This holistic approach creates a culture where every student feels equipped to succeed and make a difference.

Intent
