- Salary: M1 to U3 + TLR2b (£31,650 to £49,084 + £5,646)
- Working time: Full-time as specified within the STPCD
- Start date: September 2025
We are seeking an experienced and committed Head of History to join our school.
The Prescot School is situated in a state of the art, 21st century building, situated on the outskirts of Prescot, approximately ten miles from Liverpool City Centre. We are an 11-16 school which opened in September 2016 as a converter Academy linked to the outstanding ‘The Heath Family Trust’.

The Head of History plays a critical role in the leadership and management of the History department, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality curriculum and promoting excellence in teaching and learning. The successful candidate will lead a team of teachers, creating a collaborative environment to develop students' understanding, skills, and confidence. This role is pivotal in shaping the department’s strategic direction and contributing to wider whole-school initiatives.
